Accidents, Breakdowns and Parking

Accidents
In the event of an accident do not accept or deny liability. The insurance company will decide liability based on the information it is given.

Make sure that you take note of the name and address of the other driver(s), the registration of the other involved vehicles and other drivers insurance details (company and if possible the policy number).

It is also useful to get the names and addresses of any witnesses and to make a sketch of the relative position of vehicles.

All accidents (no matter how minor) are to be reported to the C.T.P. within 24 hours. Any accident involving a third party should also be reported to the police.

Failure to comply may result in the driver taking full liability for costs.

Breakdowns
The vehicles are covered by Autoholmes. The appropriate card will be shown on the vehicle windscreen.

Explain that you are driving a minibus and the breakdown service will be with you within half an hour. The fleet has home-start so the breakdown service will come to you if you cannot start the vehicle while it is in the CTP yard.

Punctures
We advise you to get Autoholmes to help as the vehicles are much heavier than the average car, and these services are well equipped to do the job. All of the vehicles carry a spare tyre.

If you want to change the wheel yourself the correct equipment is carried by each bus. However, we do not really recommend this.

Windscreens and Windows
In the event of damage to the windscreen or window which needs urgent repair, we have an account with Autoglass on the free phone number as displayed in the bus or Yellow Pages. Otherwise, return the vehicle to HFCTP and inform us of the damaged area.

Parking
If you bring your car when collecting a bus you may leave it in the space of the vehicle that you are taking out. Please collect a parking permit from reception.
Parking is at your own risk.

When returning a vehicle please, whenever possible, park it in a CTP space within the lines.

N.B. The space at the end is reserved for the larger vehicles.
