Insurance Conditions

Insurance Cover
All vehicles have full comprehensive cover for drivers, passengers, vehicles and third parties. They are normally only insured for use on the main island of Britain, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight. Trips outside these boundaries are not covered.

All drivers must meet the following requirements:

1. Drivers must be between 25 and 70. Those over 70, will have to accept higher insurance excess, i.e. in case of accident the amount the group contributes to the cost of repairs will be more.

2. They must have held a full UK Driving licence for more than two Years, and must have a D I on it to enable them to drive a vehicle up to 16 seats.

3. The licence should be “clean” - that is no endorsements, although some Minor offences are allowable, and there are no prosecutions pending.

4. They should not have had any “to blame” accidents in the last three years.

5. Drivers must produce their licencewhen asked to do so by a member of Staff, and report any changes in their Driving records as they happen.

Insurance Excess Payments
In case of accidents or damage to vehicles the group is responsible for paying the first £250 towards the cost of repairs. Drivers aged 70 have an excess of £500.00. This excess may be increased or decreased by our insurers, depending on our annual claims record. A copy of our current policy and conditions is available for inspection at CTP office during opening hours.

Vandalism
Wilful criminal damage by user groups will be charged in full to the group concerned.

Accidents
Accidents should always be reported to CTP immediately, even if you think the damage is minimal. Failure to report an accident can be a criminal offence. Failure to report an accident, however small, to CTP at the first opportunity will result in the driver being banned.
